NEW AERONAUTICAL TECHNOLOGY A new Aeronautical product has been tested and officially launched worldwide in Spain.

Sky Challenge is a technology developed by Air Sports Ltd., a New Zealand company, based on real-time combination of virtual computer generated images with real flight data. The technology will be primarily used for air sports such as aerobatics and air races, but has potential to be applicable to other non-aeronautical areas.

The New Zealand Company has counted on the collaboration of the Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell, the City Council of Lleida and the local region of Benabarre (Aragón) to prepare test flights in the Catalonia-Aragon region as well as the official announcement of the product to the international community which took place past October 2nd 2008.

The system allows also for real time competition between a real pilot onboard the aircraft and a "virtual pilot" comfortably piloting on-ground from a PC simulator.
