First CTAE researcher to move to aerospace industry
Published April 16, 2009
Dr. Eduard Díez-Lledó has been tapped by GTD , one of CTAE’s founding Board members, to work as R&D engineer in advanced launcher systems.
Dr. Díez-Lledó obtained his PhD from CNRS in Toulouse in 2008 on diagnostic and prognostic approaches towards airplane engines adaptive maintenance and health monitoring, using methodologies in the domain of the system state estimators, artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic, and information and reliability theory.
At CTAE, he has been working on advanced launcher technologies, a project conducted in collaboration with GTD. During his one-year stay at CTAE, Dr. Lledó also followed an intense one-month course on European Space Transportation, delivered by the Community of Ariane Cities (CVA).

This staff transfer is the first in what is hoped will be a long series, as part of CTAE’s mission to employ promising researchers during a few years, and allow them to continue their career in industry if they so wish.
