First « Space Camp Barcelona », coached by space professionals.

From 23d August to 3d September 2010, a group of teachers and space professionals will be offering the first « Space Camp Barcelona » for children aged 8 to 12 and speaking Spanish and English.
 
The location chosen is an 18th century farm house in the Garraf region, just South of Barcelona, refurbished as a children camp and certified by the Generalitat of Catalonia.
 
The programme includes hands-on activities in astronomy, water rocket construction, astronaut training and life in space, among others. The coaches will encourage team spirit and will motivate the youngster’s interest for science and technology in a relaxed and fun way.
