Aurora Sánchez

Aerospace R+D Engineer

Aurora is working in CTAE since February 2007 as an Aerospace R+D Engineer. She currently works on a joint project with the company GTD on the development of software systems for Air Strategic Management Conflict Resolution

She was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) where she studied Telecommunications Engineering (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, ULPGC). During her time in college she spent a semester at the Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland. She did her final degree project in collaboration with the Technological Centre for Innovation in Communications (CeTIC), where she developed a new model for voice synthesis.
In 2005 Aurora was granted with a summer internship at the Institute of Astrophysics of Canary Islands (Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, IAC), where she had the opportunity to collaborate with the Technology Division.

Aurora likes learning new languages and exploring other cultures. She enjoys hiking and being in contact with nature.
