Aviv Hassidov

Head of Vehicles and Environment

Aviv is a commercial pilot and an industrial designer with a master’s degree in ergonomics. He specialises in human factors with specific experience in office systems, fitness programs and man-machine interfaces. In 2002 he graduated (B.Sc.T.E with honours) from the Holon Academic Institute of Technology (HAIT) in Israel. During his studies he took part in a student exchange program at the National superior school of industrial creation (ENSCI- Les Ateliers) in Paris, France where he completed courses in multimedia and sound design.

As a pilot and a flight instructor he accumulated over 2000 flying hours on various aircraft and was in charge of a flight simulator. He later worked in 'BVR systems' on projects related to real time training and simulation systems.

In 2002 he moved to Barcelona to collaborate in two projects of the NGO 'Design for the World' and later joined 'Lluscà Design' where he worked on a wide array of products from office furniture, fitness equipment and seating systems to consumer goods and product packaging.

In 2008 he completed a master’s degree in ergonomics and human factors from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) and on that same year he joined 'CTAE' where he works on projects related to passenger comfort in commercial aircraft and augmented reality in aviation technology.

Aviv likes travelling with his family and enjoys playing the guitar, windsurfing and mountain biking.
