Caroline Lowenthal
Engineering Intern
Caroline Lowenthal worked at CTAE during the summer of 2009 as a engineering intern with Marcel Quintana and Aviv Hassidov on a project using augmented reality and human factors engineering.
Caroline was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, and grew up 30 minutes away in Haverford, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is currently working on a dual graduate degree at MIT in Aerospace Engineering and Technology and Policy, with a project in space telerobotics.
In the summer of 2008, she worked at Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) in Los Angeles, California. In the summer of 2007, she worked on NASA's Constellation Project Orion Launch Abort System at Orbital Sciences Corp., just outside of Washington, D.C.
She misses practicing Spanish but is looking forward to a year or more of travel and work abroad with her fiance after the completion of her degree in 2012. She enjoys swimming, biking, running, traveling, and dancing.
