Satellite Navigation Applications Trainee

Roger Solà has been in CTAE since November 2006 as a trainee in the Satellite Navigation group. He studied Telecommunications engineering at the Technical University of Catalonia (Barcelona). In addition he holds a Master in Communications Devices and Techniques at Télécom Paris.

During his master’s thesis, he worked on a L4 Microkernel model using formal methods in order to verify its reliability in cooperation with ST Microelectronics, Clearsy (Aix-en-Provence) and System-on-Chip Lab in EURECOM a research centre based in Nice, France.

After this project he continued his studies of Electronic Engineering at the Technical University of Catalonia working at the same time in the AXMEDIS project as a software developer trainee in the Distributed Multimedia Applications Group at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. He undertook the Electronic engineering master’s thesis in “Parasitic oscillations in parallel power Mosfets” in Philips Research Aachen, Germany.

Currently he is involved in a project related to fleet management technologies.
